Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to qualify:

Grade 12 scholars: minimum overall average of 65% in the final Grade 11 and Mid-year Grade 12 exams.
University students: Minimum overall average of 65% in the final exam of the previous academic year.
Minimum of 65% in Mathematics and Science if applying for studies related to Engineering / Food Science / Information Technology qualifications. An above average University Admission Score (APS). Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak).
Willingness to enter into a funding agreement
Mobile and willing to relocate on completion of studies in order to complete work-back period,

Capitec: Bursary / Scholarship Programme 2020

We offer bursaries to fund studies in selected fields and are looking for individuals who: are determined to succeed, motivated to reach their dreams and will seize every available opportunity. If you fit this description and need help funding your studies, we would like to hear from you!

Qualifications

Bursary applicants must fulfil one of the following 3 criteria:

Have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
Be in the process of obtaining your 2019 National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
Currently be studying towards or plan to study a relevant undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree within the following fields:

NYDA Youth Recruitment Programme X45 Positions

The Department of Arts and Culture in partnership with National Youth Development Agency are looking to recruit young people to enter a one year National Youth Service Programme called The Young Patriots Programme.

We need five (5) volunteers per province, x45 nationally, for a nine (9) months commitment

The programme seeks to engage young people in the service delivery to communities as a way of building a culture of patriotism and nation building by involving them in areas of arts, culture and heritage.

The successful applicant will be required to fulfill the following functions:

Implement arts and cultural activities in both community and schools.
Mobilise schools and youth to be part of TYPP activities in their community.
Implement, coordinate and support TYPP events in the community.
Maintain relationships with local community organisations and other community youth groups in the community.
Administer monitoring for TYPP implementation in school and at the community.
Promote South African National Symbols.
Commit to personal development and growth.
Suitable candidates will need to satisfy all the following requirements:
Grade 10
Out of school youth
Must be between the age of 18 and 35 years.
Facilitation and presentation skills
English and local language proficiency.
Arts and culture background
Willing to work in Arts & Culture sector
Strong Community background.
Self-initiator, pro-activeness, with attention to detail.
Display ability to role model to peers.

SASOL: Bursary / Scholarship Programme 2020

The Sasol Bursary Programme offers bursaries on the basis of a service-binding (work back obligation after graduation) contract. Applications may be submitted for one of the following fields of study:

Note: No bursaries are awarded in fields of study not listed above. Bursaries are not necessarily awarded in each field of study every year. Applicants should submit an application based on a real interest in the field and must be a South African citizen.

Who can apply?

Grade 12 learners must have achieved the following marks in:

If you are already studying towards the degree course for which you are applying for a bursary, you must have passed all courses for which you have registered at the university for the study period already completed.

  • Applications must be for full-time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited South African university.
  • Applicants must be South African citizens with a valid ID number.
  • All applicants invited to attend an interview must be willing to undergo psychometric testing.

Note:

Any bursary awarded is subject to the condition that the candidate’s end of year results in Grade 12 (if currently in matric) or end of year results at university (if currently studying at university) do not differ substantially from the results presented during the application process.

Sasol reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a Sasol bursary if the candidate performs substantially weaker academically than the academic performance presented during the application process.

Candidates applying for the 2020 Undergraduate, University of technology and Postgraduate bursaries must apply by 30 April 2019.
